WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY give FLD's Convertible Tank 'BEST IN SHOW' for August 2011 POOL TRADESHOW
After surfing the interwebs for the random articles that do appear, one article in particular stopped all my cyber momentum! WWD, The Fashion Bible, which I have called it since I touched my first copy at the tender age of 16, highlighted FLD and the Convertible Tank amidst the fifty or so new brands to hit the POOL show floor this past August. Quoted: "Pool is a launch pad for young brands, and almost 50 were new to the trade show. A few of the upstarts with promise included Newport Beach, Calif.-based Alma Lee with its jumper and mesh skirt-bamboo short combo; Toronto-based Simone’s Rose with its wrap skirt and bolero, and Detroit-based Fotoula Lambros Design with its convertible tank."
Recognition like this helps to summarize my vision until now. Fiber meeting function effortlessly, is definitely my intention when making the debut and launch collections this year. Fashion is everywhere, out of every kind of fabric one can image. My place on it all is to bring high fashion organic design to the everyday woman. Pieces like the trench, the capelet, and of course, the Convertible Tank, will hang in women's closet for decades to come, as they are timeless in style and sophistication, and full of multi-functional possibility. I am proud to say I made them for more reasons than one.

I am blessed to be doing what I love, I am even more blessed that the Universe allows me to continue and break new ground when it comes to Fashion from Detroit. I will one day be the designer I wish to be, but for today, I am enjoying the design evolution that has brought me here, and keeps me pushing my limits forward.
