The past week came and passed so fast, to conclude the second tradeshow on the FLD calendar of events this year. POOL TRADESHOW hosted us in Booth#428 and we were nestled nicely on the corner of the center row right next to CASH & CARRY section!

Sunday started the week full of fashion, trends, music, art, culture, and connection. So many turned out, as we all were guest to the infamous city of Sin.

The week began with So many eclectic types of brands filled the convention center, and we are so excited to been seen amongst them.  We had so many wonderful visitors and have added a few new retailers to our growing stockist. So many announcements await the month of September and we are beaming with excitement.

Well, today started beautifully, the Sun shining over Detroit, birds chirping, Kona coffee brewing in the coffee maker, and I even managed to get the garbage and the recycling out before their pickup came! All in all, who knew this beautiful start, would only get better!

After my usual morning routine, first on the agenda was replies. Emails, tweets, and such filled my inbox's and one in particular stood out a little more than most.  The lovely Eco conscious Textile Designer and Blogger, Nicole Giordano, as well as Start Up Fashion, has selected me as BreakThrough Designer!

This is an excellent site that really supports and connects different fashion professionals.  One main objectives for StartUp Fashion and its blog is that which they are quoted to say "Through this blog we hope to help expose you to news, resources, ideas, and inspiration." The top four things that are  vital in the life of the fashion business.

The comments and feedback has been so supportive, and it feels great to be recognized as one of the many brands to make a splash at Pool Tradeshow inside WWDMAGIC  a few weeks ago. She was even sweet enough to include some recent in studio pics from Jason Ruth, friend and photographer.


I am forever grateful, that she is sharing a little something about me, FLD, and all that represents, some of the best Fashion to be exported from Detroit. =)

Here we are from POOL TRADESHOW!!!!!

Well, hello everyone!! It has been some time since the last shout out and its for a great reason!! Sample production was underway this last couple months for the new Autumn.Winter 2011.12 Collection and Fotoula Lambros Design has made great strides to get to this point!

We have been displaying at POOL TRADESHOW over the last couple days, and we are connecting with some fabulous people that appreciate fashion forward apparel made only with natural fibers! Blogger Nicole Giordano from TEEN VOGUE was in yesterday to snap some photos of the Coats and Bamboo Jersey frocks, which is amazing!!  Nicole was very nice, and I would love to share her personal blog with you Click here and even her coverage from WWDMAGIC on her other site Start Up Fashion. Whew! That was a lot of links, but I must share everything with you!!

So, in the final day here, I must say, this experience has been a kaleidoscope of information, experience, and knowledge. From building relationships with store owners, fashionistas in the press and other Fashion and Eco friendly related organizations , this definitely helps in building a successful label in todays market! From Coast to Coast- D.C to SoCal, Sac, and LA, from Arizona to Minnesota, and of course Detroit, we are so happy to have met everyone and look forward to keeping in touch in the future!

PLUS: Everyone LOVES LOVES LOVES the fact that all the greatness comes out of Detroit, and this is great news that I will be returning home to share with everyone back in the D.  So, while today is still today, it is important to push forward with persistence, integrity, and of course a great eco-friendly fashion sense.
