This week is full of multifunctional madness since Pre-Tradeshow FEVER has entered the Workroom!!! There is an air in my life right now, that is unlike the atmosphere of any other. I feel an abundant amount of emotions as I take this labor of love and my team heads out to city of sin, Las Vegas, Sunday at 4am!


The newest of collections will be launched at this year's WWDMAGIC Marketplace, inside of Pool Tradeshow at Mandalay Bay Convention Center! This is my second trip with my new label in tote, and I am thrilled to get the word out and meet some amazing people along the way!


For Spring/Summer 2012, the use modal, tencel, soy, and hemp, fills the season.  Jumpers and Rompers that move in so many different ways, and  Bottoms, especially harem, are featured with a couple different hemlines, Tops and tanks with more intricate necklines, is a definite theme, I have continued to be the focus of my rack which is full of the latest in natural textiles. 

In the midst of the hectic day to day schedule, I have been in the mode of building the digital side of FLD.  From shoots, and commercial concepts, there is a bunch of instructional fabness that will be hitting the Tradeshow floor, on August 22-24.  Swing through, and feel the vibes of all season wearability and style, made exclusively in Michigan.  Made In USA- is the new black!!

So, with the dust settling on the tarmack at DTW and FLD back at its headquarters in Detroit. The Lovely Ris Tena (@rismoney), aka www.risism.com,  was kind and savvy enough to announce our ventures this past week at Pool Tradeshow (@pooltradeshow) inside Magic International Las Vegas (@WWDMAGIC) inside Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Now onto the next, most inmportant order of business....

I am thrilled to share some of the latest images from my new collection. My lovely fashion gal pals all teamed up to shoot this lookbook series, (all names and links posted below photos), and I couldn't be happier.

This photo wouldn't be as fabulous as it is, if the background "NEST" by Patrick Thompson Design (@patrickthompson) who is the creator of this beautiful piece of structural art, built this as a gift to the former FC establishment, over a year ago. It is the most precious setting to highlight natural fibers, as both are weaved so seamlessly.

Here is just a taste of what's in for the next season!! Get your neck lines ready folks! Its going to be a fabulous eco-chic ride!!

New Beginning ahead in 2011

Well, everyone, if you don't know, this should clear up any confusion and set you straight.

Most would think that Versace, himself, died by the gasps, oohs and awwws I keep hearing...

Yes, Femilia is no longer, but the possibilities from here forward are endless! I am super excited to get my hands even more dirty in this fashion business and see exactly what I am made of~
I definitely made a huge impact on the localized Fashion scene around the Detroit Metropolitan area, and currently am thrilled to even have been added to the Board Member roster for Fashion Group International, Inc Detroit Chapter  From newspapers, weeklies, and magazine, everyone was so great to show and speak great words of support that definitely gives us the confidence to move forward from this point forward.

So, why Fotoula Lambros Design?  Well, first and foremost, Fotoula is my real name, not Fay, nor Fay Fay, and I definitely want to be known for that which is exactly what I am.  Myself.  Also, note to self, it should be a sure way no one would ever spell my name wrong, which has been the biggest, most fashionable trend in Detroit over the history of Femilia.  So my new, self titled, Independent design label, is going to be a very exciting and promising opportunity for me to see what I am truly capable of!  It is going to be such a gift to move forward with complete creative freedom and vision, and the clarity in me as a designer can be smelled and felt from a mile away.

What to expect from FLD in 2011....Well, to kick off the year, production begins on a Fall.Winter 2011-12 Collection and all the preliminary steps have been taken...As of January 1, 2011, I will be in full swing of my new creative business venture that is completely focused on sustain ability in Fashion and Design,  and I am more than ready.
